This photo was taken in Red Bank, NJ in 1965.
Robert Presley, Sr. sold this boat to a man by the name of Mr. Holsclaw and was later destroyed in an accident.
Robert Presley, Sr. soon thereafter began his hydroplane racing career, running the S-39 Muggins Mom and the famous S-99 capital Gain. Unfortunately, Robert Presley Sr. (as I always called him dad) was fatally injured when he was thrown out of his boat Capital Gain. This accident is the exact reason why lifeline racing jackets had been placed and installed the skid collar mounted on the back of the life jacket.
Robert Presley, Sr.'s legacy is now being carried on by one of his best friends...Robert Presley Jr. his son, whom he always wanted to get into boat racing. Dad really loved it!
Robert Presley Jr., currently runs the same number as dad, JS-9 Kentucky Blue with riding mechanic/co-pilot Kelly Shane.
