Allen Brady's FOOL'S GOLD was built by Ralph Mulford of Rumson NJ in 1938. For many years FOOL'S GOLD was owned by Rorry Rooney in the Shark River area of NJ. She had a Chris Craft 185 (283 block) with fresh water cooling. For a number of years Rorry brought "Fool's Gold" up to Red Bank, NJ to watch the speed skiff races every August. One year he even brought her up on her own bottom (running the 15 +/- miles outside in the Atlantic Ocean from Shark River to Sandy Hook.) Rorry built a scale model of "Fool's Gold" which could be seen for a number of years on display at the Jersey Coast Boat Show in Asbury Park. In Jan 2000 she was bought by Allen Brady of Atlanta Ga. She is now undergoing a complete restoration.  February 2003 the hull restoration is almost complete.  Allen has a flat head ford V8 to put in her.
