JS-01 General 'G'

Owner: Gary Stanecki
E-Mail: dadsfinalphaze@localisp.com
Year Built: 1984
Hull Design: Verga
Power: Chevy 350
Resides In: Neptune City, N.J.
History: (as told by Gary)
The boat
design is a Verga hull out of the second mold. It originally belonged to a guy
named Big Steve in Pt. Pleasant, NJ. The boat was laid up for years at J&S 's
shop until my father, Roger Stanecki, picked it up for a song and dance. It was
blue and white and had a transmission in it. When my father died in 1996 I
inherited the boat. Did some modifications to it
and made it
fast. I painted the boat, numbered it 01, and than in 1999 I came out with the
General and raced it in the "Outlaw" class in Jersey and swept the
Championship.
In 2000 the General G and I repeated our winning way and took the Championship, undefeated! We were on our way again in 2001 but I retired in September.
This is one of four boats I presently own, and I look forward to participating in some of the vintage skiff outings in 2003.
