The following information was supplied by Douglas Whichello

The skiff "IF" was owned by Marshall Van Winkle and was a Seaman hull and raced from 1947 to 1951 when he sold it. It was one of the first of the 5 skiff's to race in the first APBA sanctioned race. It raced the races around New York's Manhattan Island races.  The one held on September 9th 1951 had 25 craft of which 5 were Jersey's and JO-CAROL driven by Daniel A. Ardolino came in 14th with a speed of 34.3 mph.  The winner was a 33 foot Class K runabout at 54.2 mph.

Marshall VanWinkle to this day has his Helmet with "IF" on the back of it and I have the pictures of it.  Danny Ardolino had his boat built by Ray Morris in 1951 to try and beat a boat owned by a one Johnny Boland a Harold Seaman built boat.

Marshell sold the 'IF' in 1951, because he went into the US Coast Guard for 4 years.  Trying to find out to who.
