Madison 2005

AS told by Bruce Lowe "Lowe Blow JS-78"

Hey Marty,

Back from Madison - I love that place!
Dave "Swamp Rat" and Robert "Hot Chocolate" spent a lot of time talking with me about skiffs, handling,
etc.

I had the 2 bladder (11x17) that I like on the "Lowe Blow", kicked the plate out a
notch, and Dave adjusted the last two turnbuckles on the trim plate.
I started to fly the skiff more than I had in past (pretty flat to water in
past - no good in turns!)

Dave broke Friday, Robert had wiring problem - twice during the 3 days, I
ran by myself.

I took a young kid from Oberto's crew that lives in Madison with me one time.
I was supposed to take Tim Torrance of WORX - radio announcer - but his
schedule changed - so I made Super Dave ride with me.
All helmeted up ready to go - no battery - it was shot.  brand new - but
broke cell I guess.

A 2.5 hydro gentleman, Dan Wells, took the battery out of his truck and got me going.
Robert broke again on the back straight of first lap,
so, again, I rode by myself.

As a substitute for Kathy not being able to participat (who I saw there yesterday) - I think I did OK.
I told Joe Johnson that they need at least 5 skiffs there.

My brother took some pictures - I should be getting them from him later on so you can post them.

Happy 4th of July!
Bruce
