October 2004:  We finally built  this boat with ideas we seen incorporated in other skiffs. Some might feel our boat is ahead of it's time with systems not presently used in former racing skiffs. When you look back over time with the evolution of the Jersey Skiffs, we feel our systems will over time be incorporated. One  we've incorporated is our hydraulically controlled cavatation plate.

This is controlled by two buttons on the steering wheel allowing the driver to keep both hands on the wheel as skiffs go faster. It also allows for that slight adjustment you cannot get with pre set notches. The other is the installation of a crate 350 motor which is cost effective and parts are readily available for future expansion. (Motor information #708522HS Advanced Discount Auto Center  lists for $3382.88). These have been used on river skiffs for three years with more boats making the change.

We also went back to the wooden deck along with a front cockpit large enough for two people to ride. We trimmed both cockpits with button tuck upholstery and added crash pad trim to show the skiff can be both beautiful and fast.  We invite you to take a look at our boat when we go to one of the events and encourage you to take a ride and experience the systems.
