I have been in the offshore power boat circuit for many years participating in many poker runs and a few races.  But, my dream was to have a nice Jersey Speed Skiff one day, so this past fall I found one that fit the bill.  My wife and I brought her home to NY.

This boat was raced in the New Jersey Garvy and Skiff club by Glenn Sanders for a few years.  I was told it was the High Points boat for 1999 and that was the last year it was raced, and has been in storage since.  I am joining APBA Vintage and Historic and plan to run in the local events in NY. 

May 2005 Update:  We are getting ready to put our skiff in the water here in NY. The ice is gone on the lake and right now the water temperature is around 45 degrees. We are planning to go to a couple of events in the northeast this summer. With any luck we will be in Florida by this fall with our skiff. We are planning to move to the Fort Myers area as soon as we can find a house in that area. I can see that a lot more events are down in Florida and would love to participate in them.
