The Freedom Boat Reunion took place this last Saturday, on August 11, 2007
on the Mount Dora chain of Lakes. This event is a school supply drive to
collect for Lake Weston Elementary. After a great day out on the lakes,
putting on over 40 miles picking up cards at 5 different stops, we met back
to the host Hotel with some school supplies for under privileged children..
There we had a shared plate pot luck and Russ, our host grilled some great
streak tacos.

We met some new people who share the same priority.  A FUN, safe day on the
water.

As usual, for the people who were not familiar with Skiffs, there were
thumbs up out on the water, followed by the question,
" what is that?" when we stopped.

The fact that we were also able to help some children with school supplies,
made it all the better.

Yours truly had the second best hand.

The next event Russ Matos is organizing is the Toy's for Tot's run taking
place Dec 1, 2007. The event will tour from Palatka to Crescent City. There
will be a Captains meeting at 10:00,AM in lobby of Quality Inn Riverfront on
the day of the tour. Tour to start at 11:45,AM from the Palatka Bridge.
