My dad bought the skiff in 1982 from a guy in NJ where we lived.  She was bright blue at the time with neither a name or number.  She's a 1972 Bender hull which is unique because she has one less lap streak making her sides lower.  We painted her black and named her Satan's Machine JS-666.  We even built that trailer from the ground up.  She had a 283ci bored out to 301 with a Holley 650 double pumper carb.  The guy that built the engine warned us to flush it after EVERY use because the cylinder walls were so thin.  We never raced her, just ran her up and down Barnegat Bay and drove her to the Speed Garvey races in Cedar Creek, Island Heights and Pine Beach in Toms River. 

We were going to use her for family fun so dad built a seat up in the front complete with coffin handles to hold on to.  It was no fun riding up there, I can assure you. We had contacted Indigo Industries at the Jersey Shore to fabricate a fiberglass deck for her because we knew that red vinyl covered plywood was getting soft but dad hurt his back during the winter of '84 and she was sold...Seeing her all torn up before the re-decking kind of hurt but she looks great.  I hope she found a good home because we sure do miss her.  In 1986 she was sold to John Sprague (see JS)

If I find any more pics I'll send 'em.  Thanks for bringing back some fond memories, she gave us some real good times.
