Snow Goose was
originally built for Jack Lawrence (of J&S Skiffs) and construction was finished
in 1982. Julian purchased the
boat in 1984 and raced the west coast circuit for several years. The original
numbers on it were JS-100. In 1986 Julian won the National High Point
Championship, giving him the right to change his numbers to JS-1.
Julian sold the boat in 1990 to Kenny Kramer of Jersey who than sold it to Caesar Simonelli of Long Branch, N.J. Caesar took a mold off it than sold it to Robert Presley who races it today as Kentucky Blue JS-9 on the APBA circuit.
The
photo at the left, has Jack Lawrence driving.
The Rucki family
not only owned Snow Goose, but Julian's brother, Richard owned Blade Runner -
JS13. Here they are running side by side.
