Here is a 'builders contract' between William Tallman of Fair Haven NJ  & Pete Pauls of Rumson NJ for Tallman to build "one 16 foot speed skiff like the Hells Angels" for the total amount of $225 in 1941.  That includes paint & varnish! (no engine).  This is the same Pete Pauls that owned "Pete Pauls" marina in Rumson for years, - a well known local marina.
