Shipwreck now becoming Tumor

Owner:

E-Mail:

Year Built:  1969

Hull Design:  Bender

Power:  350 Corvette Engine

Resides In: Monmouth Beach, N.J.

Known History:

The boat is originally from PA but it was purchased from a man in north Jersey, where it was sitting in his parking lot for a while.  The boat has a plywood deck a 350 corvette engine in it.  A man in Long Branch, NJ who raced skiffs worked on the engine and the boat. (Caesar from S & S racing)

After taking most of the boat apart and stripping it, we revealed that it was a peach color prior to being painted yellow.  Looking to find out more information about this boat.  I heard that it is a 70-80's Bender or Moore Craft vintage...

Any information is greatly appreciated throughout our restoration. Please email at the address above.

5/30/03: I am just updating you on additional information I have found out about it. Currently we are redoing the boat from basically the hull, we are making a new deck and redoing most of the boat. We have found out a lot of information about our boat. It is a bender hull made in the early to late sixties. It was raced by Jerry "The Snake" Fowler in the late sixties for a few years as "MR. Illegal- JS-66. then it was bought by a man and just let it sit and decay. I will send you pictures of it when we complete it.
Thanks for everything, Dennis

2/17/03 Update:  Many changes happening!  As we previously told you we were rebuilding the boat back from the plain shell. Here are some recent pictures of the boat that we have taken since we painted it. All that is left for us to do is to paint the deck. The boat is now named Tumor.
